This week we’re featuring a family-owned business in Scottsdale:  PERK eatery!

If you’re looking for a great breakfast or lunch bite to eat without spending a fortune, consider stopping in at PERK eatery.  Conveniently located, this spot features a patio, bar, and a normal dining area to choose from.

We often sit at the bar because there’s  generally no wait for bar seating on the weekends, but mid-week, you’ll have no problem sitting wherever with no wait.  When the weather is nice, the patio is probably the best way to go.

PERK tries to always cook using fresh, local, and/or organic foods as well as antibiotic and hormone-free, naturally raised meats.  Any beef they use is 100% Arizona, grass-fed cattle.

One thing that makes their food so good is that they cook everything in-house and it’s as if you’ve opened your own fridge and whipped up your own meal–without the hassle of having to clean up afterwards.  Nothing preserved or frozen here!  Owned by a family, they strive to bring you quality meals on a consistent basis.  They do an awesome job of it, too.

PERK also donates a portion of proceeds back into the local community, which I love, love, love!  I just think it is so important to give back how you can and it makes my heart happy when others just freely integrate giving back into their business or life plans.

As for the food- it’s all so good!  Walk in on a busy weekend morning and smell the pure maple syrup hitting hotcakes and you’ll want to stay.  I personally love when they have their pumpkin pancakes on special for the day.  They are so flavorful and moist that you don’t even need butter or syrup on them.  I usually just eat them straight up, without adding anything, which is rare.  I normally like pancakes covered in butter AND syrup.  My husband is fond of several of their omelets but also loves the breakfast enchiladas which have a slow-roasted pork inside and eggs on top:

PERK has also been featured on the popular Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives with Guy Fieri, wherein he enjoys the breakfast enchiladas himself.  They make tasty cappuccinos and lattes over and above your typical cup of coffee, though they have regular coffee, too.  BUT- even their regular coffee isn’t just regular coffee.  It’s a custom certified Organic French Roast and they grind it fresh for every pot they brew, so it’s never stale and always full of flavor.

If you’re looking to switch up your dining routine or happen to be in the area, give PERK eatery a try.  I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
