So, you’re coming to Phoenix for the 2017 NCAA Final Four and you want to know what else there is to do in the sixth largest city in the USA…

It looks like the lineup of events are scattered around the Valley… games are in Glendale, FanFest is in Downtown Phoenix, and the 3-day music festival with FREE shows is a few minutes away from Downtown Phoenix at Margaret T. Hance Park.

First things first: you’re going to need a rental car.  Since you’re going to have a rental car, why not see and do additional things around the Valley of the Sun while you’re here?

This post is part 1 and will focus on places to see, eat, and visit.  Part 2 will consist of things you can do to take advantage of our weather and get some great hiking or mountain biking in. This list is focused on the metro Phoenix area to keep it simple.  You can also skim through my website to get other ideas as well.  #JustSayin  =)

NOTE:  As a general rule, make sure you’re drinking enough water.  Water, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen are pretty much constant necessities in Arizona (and bathing suits…don’t forget those!)

Taxis, Uber, and Lyft are all available in Arizona, and there’s a light rail in downtown Phoenix — so pick your preferred method if you aren’t renting a car and get out and explore our slice of desert.

Still not sure what to do or where to go?  Have general questions about metro Phoenix?  Drop me a line and I’m happy to help you figure it out:

It’s supposed to be in the 70’s this weekend.  Welcome to Arizona!
